I've never been to Disneyland (well, not since MS) but I understand that they rent mobility scooters, which means you don't need to be pushed. I have PPMS and use one all the time, even in the house. I enjoy zoos, theme parks, museums, etc from the co…

Put in Application for Graduate School!!

After this recent flare up of MS I have a renewed passion for going back to school. Seeing how quickly and completely my physical body can let out on me I am looking at a completely new career in Art Therapy.

My BFA is from Parsons School of Design in NYC and while I love designing and creating art, when my arms fatigue so quickly I simply can't do it (hence the slowness to update some things on this site in the last few weeks). I'm finally able to type at almost normal speed now that i… Continue

Admitted to the hospital....

I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and started having some numbness and tingling on the way to my ob appt today. Coincidentally, I was already on the way to the dr to check my cervix and my blood pressure anyway. Long story short, One good thing is my cervix is closed but my blood pressure was high and they decided to do a NST to make sure the baby's accelerations in her heart rate were good. They weren't getting the reading that they wanted with the non-stress test, the baby just wasn't cooperating. Th… Continue

Thankful

I have just found out an old classmate has died.. due to suicide. I feel for her family right now, and i realize that i really never really knew her that well..and now kinda wish i got to know her more. Every time i did see her in the hallways at school she was always smiling and laughing and one of the popular ones. Every time i think of my disease that i have and still to this day wonder why I was chosen to have this disease! At the beginning when i was first diagnosed, there was a lot of stre… Continue

Why is the floor so far away?

Did you ever notice the days when even the most simple tasks are so difficult is in direct proportion to how many things you drop on the floor?!

Snow Storm 2010

Well, we are finally getting hit with the "big" one. It has been at least 10 years since we have had a winter snow storm like they are calling for today and tomorrow. Early this morning it started raining ice. It has been raining ice for the past few hours. Pretty soon, around noon, it is suppose to switch over to snow. They are expecting at least a foot of snow, or more. I know, I know....to y'all that live up north this is probably nothing. But to us Texans, it is a real treat. Or a real nuisa… Continue

I suck at updates

I apologize to all of you for my absence. I really meant to get involved with this site, and I haven't. I guess because I don't really know anyone here. I barely know anyone IRL with MS, and I don't regularly talk to anyone online who has it either.

At any rate, I've been on my Copaxone for 6 months now and had another MRI a couple weeks ago. It showed no significant change or progression since my last scan in May. YAY! And I've been feeling a lot better in general as well. I've stopped falling… Continue
